When to disclose or not to disclose
a disability in the hiring process is always a difficult
decision for a person with a disability. This session
will explore the pros and cons and what the ADA allows.
How to Help Youth Get and
Retain Employment
Assisting youth to know how to look
for a job, apply for a job, interview for a job, and
retain. This training covers also the civil rights
pertaining to employment if the youth has a physical,
emotional or mental disability.
Self Advocacy for Students
with Disabilities
Resources and knowledge of laws
that will help young people learn to help themselves.
Transition for Students
with Disabilities
Differences in what assistance is
available after high school And methods to obtain that
assistance.
EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS FOR
PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES
The course would cover what to do
to prepare for and assist employees with disabilities in
the case of an emergency (such as tornado, fire, and
flood).

Oklahoma law provides a process for
persons with severe disabilities, who are legal
residents of Oklahoma, to gain access to state
employment.
This training will assist
counselors and job developers or groups of people with
disabilities to understand the process and utilize this
valuable tool in obtaining state jobs.

Client Assistance Program (CAP)
training classes are modular so that pieces can be taken
and focused on the expressed needs of the target
