The Oklahoma Legislature adjourned Friday, May 29, 2009 for the First Session of the 52nd Legislature. This final review of bills touching the disability community was done June 16, 2009. Bills which have been approved by the Governor will become Oklahoma law. If any bill did not pass through the legislative deadlines, it still may be resurrected next year during the Second Session of the 52nd Oklahoma Legislature. To contact your legislators when the Legislature is not in session, call the County Election Board of the county in which you reside. Give them your address, and they will tell you local contact information. During the period when the Legislature is not in session, legislators are considering bills to introduce. The Second Session of the 52nd Oklahoma Legislature will convene the first Monday of February, 2010.
